Robot welding has begun to be used very rapidly in all industries including metal especially in automotive and machinery manufacturing since the day on which 6-axis industrial robots have been used in gas metal arc welding in 1975 and then, in spot welding.
Robot welding started to be used in 2016 in our company following technology closely considering industrial needs.
We have raised welding quality and, thus, product quality to an upper level with the introduction of the robot welding.
Robot welding is a process in which most mistakes are made, considering its all components. It requires competence although it seems simple. Robot welding is a method in which 3 different disciplines are used simultaneously. Using the system perfectly requires developed welding information, competence in robot equipments and special fixture design-manufacturing information.
Robot welding has been designed to complete compelling welding tasks expected in workplaces smoothly and error-free. Even watching robot welding machines, which work very efficiently especially in industrials tasks and mass production lines, can be enjoyable.
Automotive industry, which requires high numbers and serious quality requirements, has responded to this development very rapidly, and many robot welding machines have started to be used in this industry in a short while. Even now, the largest robot welding machine user is the automotive and subsidiary industries. However, more and more robots are used in domestic appliances, general machinery and metal industries every day. We attempted to summarize advantages of the robot-base gas metal arc process.
• The increase in the product quality: Indisputable quality increase because the robot moves the torch always in the same stability and effectiveness,
• The decrease in manufacturing costs: The decrease in manufacturing time and labor expenses because of 2-5-fold increase in the pace compared with the manual welding,
• The increase in efficiency: The increased efficiency because of the stable and predictable part manufacturing times; the same robot can work for 3 shifts without interruption
• The systems designed according to the customer’s needs: Allows welding by the systems that are designed perfectly according to the customer’s need in the case of that manual welding is very difficult,
• The improved working environment: Prevents welders from working on a process like welding that is heavy and includes many risks for human health
